The New England Patriots might have lost Super Bowl 52 but amongst all the spectacle came trailers for Ron Howard’s Solo: A Star Wars Story, J.A Bayona’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Avengers: Infinity War, a beautiful looking Mission Impossible: Fallout and a Westworld Season 2 trailer.

Set against a piano version of Kanye West’s RunawayDolores narrates this Westworld Season 2 trailer beginning with a beautiful ideal; “We built this world together, a world where dreams come true. A world where you can be free,” the feature-length trailer goes on to show Thandie Newton’s character, Maeve building an android army of Native Americans, Cowboys, Japanese Samurai and… some bulls as she strives to protect their beautiful world and infiltrate ours.

Dolores’ narration takes a turn when she reveals “This world is a lie. This world deserves to die because this is your world. We’ve lived by your rules long enough. We can save this world, we can burn it to the ground and from the ashes build a new world: our world,” and I think season two will reveal that our world is just as illusory as the Westworld theme park and that we humans are not quite who we think we are.

You read it here first, well you read it in the Hindu Vedas first, 3,000 years ago but one day you’ll believe me that we are living in a computer simulation.

Westworld season 2 will debut on April 22nd, just in time to qualify the season for the 2018 Emmys.
