“Grave men near death who see with blinding sight… rage, rage against the dying of the light.” BBC Cardiff shamelessly riffs on genius Welsh poet Dylan Thomas’ epic “Do not go gentle into that good night” (and Interstellar)

But they have released a stunning teaser featuring all of The Doctor’s previous regenerations.

I still rememebr my first, Tom Baker into Peter Davidson after a fall from some kind of electricity pylon. Needless to say, I was heart-broken.

Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor has slowly been falling apart throughout this season ten meaning my least favorite Doctor since Christoper Eccleston is just two episodes away from his latest regeneration.

And Peter Capaldi’s not the only alum moving on. Steven Moffat, who helmed the show through Matt Smith and Capaldi’s years is being replaced by Chris Chibnall (Broadchurch, Torchwood) who has a “risky and bold… five-year plan” for the show.

Moffat has given us some great episodes and meaningful arcs, especially Amy Pond’s crack in time and Clara Oswald’s brilliant storyline but for every Into the Dalek there was a The Return of Doctor Mysterio.

I can’t wait for the sonic screwdriver to be handed to Chibnall and a new, younger Doctor. News from ex-showrunner Russell T. Davies is that the thirteenth Doctor has already been cast… please let it be this man and not this one.

Doctor Who airs its antepenultimate episode on Saturday 17th June at the earlier time of 18:45 BST.
