After all the delays, bridge re-shuffles and heart-breakingly bad, fan-made quality promos from Netflix, CBS has finally given Star Trek: Discovery a premiere date…

The Pilot will air at 8.30/7.30c on CBS All Access on Sunday 24th September, which is a mere three months away!

Here’s another peak at the real trailer, not the inexplicably shoddy Netflix one.

In line with The Walking Dead, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and other shows that take a Christmas break, Star Trek: Discovery will air from 24th September to 5th November and then return in January 2018.

The show’s plot details have been kept under wraps but we do know that it takes place ten years before the crew of NCC-1701 and that it will star Sonequa Martin-Green (The Walking Dead) leads the series as Lt. Commander Michael Burnham with Jason Isaacs (Awake) as Captain Lorca and Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) as Captain Philippa Georgiou and Rainn Wilson (The Office USA) as Harry Mudd.

Star Trek: Discovery is exec’d by Alex Kurtzman, Bryan Fuller, Heather Kadin, Gretchen J. Berg, Aaron Harberts, Akiva Goldsman, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth under the banner of Alex Kurtzman’s Secret Hideout, Bryan Fuller’s Living Dead Guy Productions and Roddenberry Entertainment.
