BEEP BIP, BEEP BIP, BEEP BIP, BEEP BIP…

Middle Eastern terrorists are on our soil; they’re after the Super Bowl and one only man can stop them. Jack Bauer. Oh, hang on…

24: Legacy is only months away and Fox have found Jack Bauer’s replacement. Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton) plays military hero Eric Cartman, sorry – Eric Carter as he…

“Returns to the U.S. with a whole lot trouble following him back. With nowhere else to turn, the man asks CTU to help him save his life while also stopping one of the largest-scale terror attacks on American soil.”

The trailer certainly evokes the spirit of the original series (now fifteen years old, having aired less than two months after 9/11) but, so far there’s no evidence of 24’s famous split screens and beepiddy beep clock. Kiefer Sutherland has stated that Jack Bauer will not be appearing but he joins showrunners Manny Coto and Evan Katz in exec producing.

You can bet yo ass there’s be a whole lot of back-stabbing and double-crossing going down as Corey will be joined by Miranda Otto (Homeland) and Jimmy Smits (The Get Down)

24: Legacy hits our screens on February 5th, 2017.

If you can’t wait that long, Designated Survivor might get you thru the winter!
